“Chong,
jom lepak jom, aku rasa dah lama kita tak jumpa, ada banyak benda nak
diborakkan ni,”
“Boleh
je, pukul berapa tu man?”
“Dalam
masa sejam, aku tunggu kau kat Coffee Bean KLCC, amacam? Ok?”
“Beres
man…”
-Di Coffee Bean KLCC-
“Wah,
lawa phone baru kau man, baru beli ke?”
“Haha,
mana ada lawa. Biasa-biasa je. Abang aku baru naik pangkat, ada rezeki sikit,
dia belikanlah aku Samsung S4 baru ni,”
Wow,
pakai S4 kau, kelas gilerrrr…
Menjadi
Sayang
seribu kali sayang, masalah baru pula yang timbul.
“Man,
kau kata nak borak, tapi aku tengok kau asyik dengan phone kau je?”
“Jap
ek Chong, ni ha, ada kawan aku update status twitter, dah lama aku tak jumpa
dia, jap aku tweet dia balik, jap ek,”
-10 minit kemudian-
“Kau
buat apa lagi tu man?”
“Owh
tak, dah lama aku tak datang KLCC ni, so aku tangkap gambar tadi, ingat nak
upload jap kat instagram, jangan lupa like tau,”
-10 minit kemudian-
“Tak
kan tak habis upload lagi man?”
“Dah
habis dah Chong, tak, aku nak update blog aku jap, aku kan ketua satu
organization ni, kalau tak update nanti, orang bising,”
See,
this is what we face now. People say, with all these technologies, they will
bring us closer to those who stay very far away from us. Yea, that’s absolutely
true, no doubt with that. But does it bring us closer to our family and friends
right beside us?
Kita
terlalu khusyuk dengan mainan teknologi ini sehingga kadang-kala kita terlupa
akan sahabat kita yang berhampiran. Seolah-olah that gadget of yours is much
more important than them.
Kalau
tengah hang out, you are the master planner, and during your day out with your
friends, sahabat-sahabat lain sibuk ajak borak and you keep playing whatever is
inside your phone, as if game dalam phone tu akan expired kalau tak main.
Ok,
ok, bayangkan macam ni. You have not meet your best friend for months or years,
yet when you meet up each other, he or she keeps playing with his or her phone
until he or she abandoned, ignored you as if you were not there. How will you
feel?
Disrespect.
Penghormatan diberi lebih kepada our gadget instead of the beloved one.
Bahagikan
masa. Don’t let your phone or tab or note or whatever you might have, menjauhkan
jarak anda bersama mereka yang sudah dekat. When you are with them, eating
time, watching movie, hanging out, try to not to spend your time too much on
your phone, keep your phone away, trust me, you will have time to spare on your
phone later, before tidur ke, waktu alone ke, so tak lah rasa lonely sangat
kan?
I’ve
posted this before, but it seems now is a better time for me to post it again
for everyone to watch. Just take the positive part of it. You can make the difference.
RESPECT PEOPLE. If you really love your family, your friends around you, keep your
gadget away when you are with them. Trust me, kalau sebegini, yang jauh seperti
di Ireland, yang dekat macam yang serumah, akan semakin dekat. Your facebook,
your twitter, your blogspot, wordpress, instagram, bla bla bla, will wait,
PERCAYALAH, they won’t run away.
Ok, Assalamualaikum. Selamat mengambil iktibar (termasuk penulis sendiri). :-)
